Who is eligible for the program?

Stimulus checks were assigned based on income criteria. However, each year this aid was issued, it presented different criteria, with gradual changes. Below, check out the rules for each of the payments!

1st payment Economic Impact Payment

  • Be an adult or head of a family of legal age;
  • Income criteria:
    • Single adult: annual income less than $75,000;
    • Single head of household: annual income less than $112,500;
    • Married householder: annual income less than $150,000.

2nd payment Economic Impact Payment

  • Be an adult or head of a family of legal age;
  • Income criteria:
    • Single adult: annual income less than $87,000;
    • Single head of household: annual income less than $124,500;
    • Married householder: annual income less than $174,000.

3rd payment Economic Impact Payment

  • Be an adult or head of a family of legal age;
  • Income criteria:
    • Single adult: annual income less than $80,000;
    • Single head of household: annual income less than $120,000;
    • Married householder: annual income less than $160,000.

The income of each of the candidates was estimated based on the income tax returns.

To apply for Stimulus Check, it is not necessary to send any documents. To do this, simply register on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website.

To apply for Stimulus Check, you don’t need to fill out a form. To access this type of benefit, you just need to file your annual income tax return.

The IRS will verify your eligibility and make the appropriate payments based on the information you provide.

What to do if you didn’t get your Stimulus Check?

If you’ve applied for the Stimulus Check but didn’t receive any of the payments, you can still receive them. First, know that all payments for the three receipts have already been issued.

Thus, if you are eligible to receive this check, you must access your registration on the IRS website online. Your payment was probably not received because you failed to file your tax returns in some of the later years.
