In fact, you can buy it in physical Walmart stores or order it online. In either case, you will need to be at least 18 years of age. Below, learn how to request or validate your card:

How to apply on the website

Indeed, when accessing the official website for the Walmart MoneyCard application, you will have two buttons. These are located in the upper right corner of the screen.

If you have already purchased your card in physical stores, click on the “Activate your card” button and follow the process below:

Card activation

In this process, you must answer a simple questionnaire to provide some data. Among these are:

  • Name;
  • Address;
  • Date of birth;
  • Expiration date;
  • Valid mobile phone number;
  • Social Security Number (SSN);
  • 16 digits that are on the front of your card;
  • 3 security digits (these are on the back of your card);

Finally, the result of your application will be informed by email and/or telephone.

Request card

On the official Walmart MoneyCard website, press the “Open an Account” button. You will then have access to a short application questionnaire.

Basically, you must provide the same information as in the questionnaire described above.

The only warning is that the 16 digits on the front of your card, expiry date and 3 security digits will not be asked for. After all, you don’t have a Walmart card in your hand.
