Alaska Airlines’ rewards program, the Mileage Plan™, is associated with the oneworld® Alliance, a group in which more than 30 airlines participate. In this way, you can transfer miles to all partner mileage plans. Among the participating airlines, we highlight: American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, S7 Airlines, SriLankan Airlines.

Miles also work like money. Thus, depending on market factors, the value of a mile may vary. However, as of September 2022, 40,000 miles on the Alaska Airlines Visa® Card rewards program were worth approximately $480. Thus, we can say that each mile is worth approximately $0.012. Indeed, this value makes the miles of this program one of the most valued in the national mileage market.

As with most travel cards for customers with excellent credit scores, this card also offers a balance transfer function. That way, you can transfer balances from other cards to avoid interest. The Alaska Airlines Visa® card charges a fee of 3% of the transfer amount for this service. Also, the interest charged on this transfer is equivalent to what you would pay on regular balances.

If your card is eligible for a higher credit limit, you can request this service by accessing your account via Internet Banking on your computer or mobile application. You will easily find the option to request a credit increase. However, if your card is not eligible for this, you can still apply for a higher credit limit. To do this, you must call the Bank of America call center and request this service by speaking directly to an employee.
