Next, learn how to reverse an FNB eWallet transaction via mobile banking. To do so, you just need to follow the steps below:
- Log in to your FNB mobile banking app;
- Go to the “eWallet Services” option in the main menu;
- Select “View eWallet Transactions” and find the transaction you want to reverse;
- Tap on the transaction and select “Reverse Transaction”;
- Confirm the reversal by entering your mobile banking PIN or using biometric authentication.
Once confirmed, the funds will be returned to the eWallet account.
To confirm that everything went well, a notification will be sent to the sender and receiver of the transaction.

Therefore, it is also possible to reverse an FNB eWallet transaction through the call center. For that, you can follow these steps:
- Dial the FNB customer service number: 087 575 9405;
- Follow the voice prompts and select the option to speak with a customer service representative;
- Explain the situation to the representative and provide the necessary details, such as the transaction reference number and amount.
The representative will verify your identity, making the transaction eligible for reversal.
If the transaction is eligible, the representative will initiate the reverse process. It will then provide you with a confirmation number.

- Open the FNB app on your mobile device and log in to your account;
- Tap the “Browsing” menu icon and select “eWallet Services” from the drop-down menu;
- Choose the “Send Money” option and select the “Transaction History” tab;
- Find the transaction you want to reverse and tap on it;
- Click the “Reverse Transaction” button and confirm the action;
- The reversal will be processed, and the funds will be returned to your eWallet account.

You can request a reversal if you accidentally sent money to the wrong recipient. If you made this transaction at the bank or over the phone, you must pay R65 per transaction.
The transaction was made via cellphone banking, the reversal fee is R16.5 per transaction.
FNB will not be held responsible for money sent to an incorrect mobile number. Furthermore, rollback operations are not guaranteed and may not be authorized.
If the recipient has already withdrawn the funds or the payment was made fraudulently, FNB can reverse the transaction.

What other fees does the FNB eWallet charge?
In fact, the FNB eWallet is an extremely cheap and high-tech service. After all, customers who opt for this service have few fees for using this tool.
With each operation, you must pay a fee of R2. For every R100 transferred, you must pay a fee of R2.30.
So if you transfer R500 from your account to your eWallet, you will pay a total fee of R13.50. Customers of this digital wallet also pay a fee per period of inactivity.
After six months of no activity in your wallet, you will pay a “fine” of R4.95 monthly. Every time you send money to your wallet, you are entitled to a free withdrawal.
If you want to make additional withdrawals, you will have to pay an amount of R11 per operation. If you opt for withdrawals at partner retail stores, you’ll pay R2 each.
